We’re a friendly place, but we’re serious about the artists we feature at our art gallery. Marmot was built through the vision and dedication of Marshall Peterson, whose passion for artists and collectors helped shape the gallery into what it is today. Following his passing, we are honored to carry that legacy forward
Experience Fine Art
Are you excited about seeing some incredible art? Thinking about adding a piece to your collection? One of the pleasures of visiting a gallery is encountering something unexpected. Art has the power to spark curiosity, create conversation, and transform the spaces where we live.
Current Show
High quality fine art needs to be seen up close and in person to be fully appreciated. Currently hours are Thursday and Fridays, 3-6, Saturdays 10-2. Appointments are always welcome - 208.659.5953.
First Fridays
First Fridays offer the first peek at the new shows! We are a gallery with just the right amount of visitors at any given moment. You have time and space to carefully choose the piece you want! Always open on First Fridays 5-8 pm.

Spokane, you’ve been so kind to us! You always stop what you’re doing to fill out those forms. You love viewing fine art at our art gallery, then supporting us in those contests. When we don’t win first place, you help us to get second or third. So cool that you place us on the podium. Thank you.
Ever the Storyteller
Gordon Wilson is one marmot's most popular artists. This September he nearly sold out his show. Each of his pieces tells a story about and invites viewers in to travel with him.
Out Of Town Artists
We love featuring the best of the best local artists, but we also feature outstanding regional artists (and international artists) as well. We want to keep things fresh for you by showing artists whose fine art you’ve never seen before. That’s one of our roles as a commercial art gallery here in Spokane, Washington.

Kendall Yards is a sweet spot for romantic dates. It’s always a great day to take a stroll around the neighborhood. Some of the best restaurants in our entire region would love to see you. To top off your romantic day, how about checking out some incredible fine art at an award-winning art gallery?
Art Profs
Here at Marmot we make it a point not to be snooty, but that doesn’t mean that we’ve banned professors. It’s awesome to exhibit cool art profs who ”get” the differences between academic settings and commercial ones. They’re interesting to chat with, create amazing fine art, and add to the mix at our art gallery.

Alfredo Arreguín was one of the Pacific Northwest's most celebrated painters, known for his richly patterned compositions inspired by nature, animals, and his Mexican heritage. After making Seattle his home, he developed a distinctive visual language that earned recognition in major museum collections.
Families are welcome
Adults visit our art gallery all time - and sometimes they bring along the little ones. It’s fun to see their eyes light up! Many parents believe that fine art is an essential part of life. Daily exposure to art at home is a healthy part of growth. How to get that art home? Just buy a piece at Marmot. ;)
