We worked very hard in the arts for decades before opening Marmot. Tons of 70-90 hour workweeks to perfect our craft and build our careers.

We’ve also worked very hard for years to keep Marmot alive and thriving. Very hard. Lots and lots of 70-90 hour workweeks. The results have been winning awards and placing very highly for the awards we didn’t win. We’ve also been featured nationally in media such as USA TODAY and SUNSET magazine, as well as numerous times in the Spokesman-Review, the Inlander, and Art Chowder magazine.

Because you didn’t choose carefully you’ll also do things that make you look bad and shoot yourself in the foot. Yes, the advice we give to aspiring professionals is much different than the advice we give to highly successful professionals.

Please don’t claim to be what you’re not. It’s obvious when someone says they’re something way beyond what they are. It makes you look bad. Unprofessional. Be careful, be thoughtful, make a good first impression.
